Guide for contractors

Replacement is not a first-purchase sale

A contractor guide to the needs of homeowners replacing an ageing heat pump: qualify the request, prepare the visit and set expectations.

01

The client has already lived through the decision

They know the noise their unit makes, the bill it produces, and the after-sales service they did or did not get. They are not starting from zero: they are starting from experience, often a mixed one.

That shortens the conversation about technology and moves it onto you: your lead time, your availability, your follow-up once the install is done.

02

The urgency is different

An end-of-life unit gives warning signs before it quits. Some homeowners call at that point; many wait for the breakdown. The two profiles have neither the same patience nor the same decision window.

On the other hand, a replacement usually already has the space, the electrical supply and the location. Part of the unknowns of the visit are settled in advance.

03

What that changes about a request

We pass along what the homeowner stated, including the condition of their current setup when they tell us. That is not a diagnosis: it is their description.

On-site verification stays yours. We do not promise a signed contract; we cut down the time you spend working out who to call back.
