When the work requires it, Nordis checks the RBQ licence with the Régie du bâtiment du Québec. The wording used across the site is “verified RBQ-licenced contractor”. That check covers the licence number and its scope: it does not guarantee workmanship, a price, a timeline or a result.
Every option shown carries a selection reason produced by the ranking engine: match with the requested trade, served area, first genuinely open slot, fair distribution, and whether the tariff is comparable. A card on its own does not release the file: you choose what to pursue.
No. Work prices, fees, inclusions, exclusions and availability are what each contractor actually published for your project. A field that was not published stays “to be confirmed”: it is never replaced by an estimate invented by Nordis. The work contract is signed directly between you and the contractor.
Your request is qualified once. Until you pursue an option or book a visit, the contractor has no access to your file: not your name, address, contact details or project information. The authorised delivery — your request or your booking — then opens their access, and each additional disclosure requires separate confirmation.
The file says so plainly: no contractor is eligible in your area when you submitted. Nordis promises neither a response nor a date in that case. The team helps you with the next step, and the file remains the source of truth — there is no silent redirect to a different commercial path.
Nordis qualifies your request, matches your project with eligible contractors and lets you compare then book. Nordis does not perform the work, does not diagnose, does not set prices, and is not a party to the contract signed with the contractor.
The contractor performs the diagnosis, the visit and the work, presents their own quote and bills the homeowner directly. They are paid by the homeowner, and pay Nordis the commission set out in their own agreement where applicable.
